ASIA. Swedish beauty and tech giant Foreo has “hit the ground running” as travelling consumers return to Singapore and the wider Southeast Asia region.
With tourism recovering steadily in the region following border openings, Foreo cited statistics from travel analyst ForwardKeys which indicate that international airline bookings to Southeast Asia hit 38% of pre-pandemic levels by mid-March.
Singapore and the Philippines bookings were at 75% and 62% of 2019 levels respectively. According to Foreo, the numbers “point to one thing: the world is coming back with a bang”.
Foreo is working closely with retail partners The Shilla Duty Free, Dufry and KrisShop to welcome back tourists. In line with new creative marketing efforts in 2022, there is, Foreo said, “no limit to the partnerships and executions being carried out”.
Foreo and its Swiss-developed sister brand FAQ, are participating in KrisShop’s May Savings promotion, with special offers over a specified time period to boost sales on the platform. Key products include the FAQ 101, FAQ 102, Luna 3, and the Bear Holiday Set.
Foreo and FAQ products – designed to offer users professional aesthetic results in the comfort of their own homes – have been in high demand since the outset of the pandemic.
Foreo has reopened multiple counters at Singapore Changi Airport. A new counter at Terminal 3 Arrivals South made its debut on 25 February, followed by the reopening of the Terminal 1 Centre Store on 18 March. Another counter in Terminal 1 Arrival East reopened this month.
Following the opening of Malaysia’s borders at the beginning of April, Foreo is welcoming travelling consumers with a Summer Flash sale. The promotion started this month and will continue through June, highlighting key products including the Luna 2, Luna Mini 2, Luna Go and Issa Mikro.
Foreo Global Travel Retail Director Gary Leong said: “We are thrilled to welcome back tourists to Southeast Asia, and we can’t wait to get back into the groove of things.
“Promotions are ongoing to make sure that tourists are able to get the best of Foreo on their travels, and we’re grateful to our long-term and new partners for supporting our endeavours to get back on our feet in the region.”
